Headin' Down The Bumbershoot

Here's an even more recent piece I put up on Creative Allies (they keep me busy and make me face deadline work).  It's actually still up, but the contest ends today.  I just submitted it yesterday but so far it's gotten a couple comments and it got put up on the main page of creative allies so hopefully it's got a real chance at pulling in a win.  This is what it looks like:

Here's the link for the design on the site, please feel free to check it out and f anyone's got time to head over to the website and post a comment on the site I'd really appreciate it. Here's the original drawing:

Outside The Lands

Here's a little something I submitted not long ago for another Creative Allies contest.  unfortunately it didn't end up winning but I really feel like I learned quite a bit about color separation and the general construction of my designs as a whole.

I think that i will likely revisit the harmonica bottle opener in the future.  Or the "Barmonica" as i like to call it.

Where I stay up late

So now that it's been several months since Melissa and I moved into our current situation things are actually coming together, especially in the studio.  At this point I've got one desk set up for all the assorted techno-bits I need, and another for all the physical work that needs doing.  It's a pretty successful setup but at some point I dream of constructing a supreme mega-desk that will fulfill all creative needs.  I have a pretty extensive and relatively overzealous blueprint for said desk laid out in my mind, but not in the real world (someday, hopefully).  I keep a lot of inspiration around, and with slightly disposable income I can now frame that inspiration!  I've also been able to arrange my steadily growing collection of books into a single (and very full) bookshelf.

In a couple weeks I should be able to show you all a couple of pictures of the screenprinting studio I'm setting up!

I've also been working on some secret design work for a client that should be visible in a matter of weeks (how vague is that, huh?).

Initials

Another something I've been working on, the next in a long line of self-identity possibilities.  This one is more simple, and I must say I enjoy it.  I've still got quite a few projects on the side that I'm working on but I had a chance on new years to turn this little fellow out.

and here is a slight variant with a little added texture to give it a slightly weathered look.
